QUEEN VICTORIA (2007/90049grt/IMO 9320556) at left, arrived in Auckland, New Zealand from Rarotonga during her second Round-the-World cruise. Just minutes astern she was followed into port by Princess Cruises' TAHITIAN PRINCESS (1999/30277grt/IMO 9187899, ex-R-FOUR. Renamed OCEAN PRINCESS then SIRENA in 2016) at right, which arrived from Nukualofa. Berthing on adjacent wharfs they and  Mitsui's NIPPON MARU (1990/21903grt/IMO 8817631) made 12 February one of the busiest days on record for the Port of Auckland. Between 9-15 February 2009, twelve cruiseships will have visited Auckland shattering the previous record of nine vessel visits within a seven day period set in February 2007.
