SeapixOnlineDisplaying 1 of 1 RRS DISCOVERY (1962, rebuilt 1992/3008grt/IMO 5090660) - an oceanographic research ship operated worldwide by the NERC Research Ship Unit at the Southampton Oceanographic Research Centre, is the largest such vessel (at picture date) available in the UK. She was due for replacement in 2011 but her replacement has been delayed for years according to media reports.
