SeapixOnlineDisplaying 1 of 1 KARERE III - built in 1974 by Bob Salthouse of 3 skins of Kauri for Logan Colemore-Williams of the then well known Auckland company Sonata Laboratories. She was lengthened in Picton by Jim Cary, extending her at her stern to about 60', work carried out under the supervision of Bob Salthouse. It was reported that this increased her cruising speed by several knots.
