KAN TAN VI an offshore drilling platform, towed into Geelong for refit by the offshore supply ship FAR SCIMITAR (2008/3089grt/IMO 9409651) and assisted by FAR FOSNA (1993/2766gt/IMO 9060364) astern. Following the refit the rig was deployed for around four months exploratory drilling in the Taranaki basin, New Zealand.
