SeapixOnlineDisplaying 1 of 1 HMB ENDEAVOUR (1994/397grt/IMO 8644967) - The Australian built replica of Captain James Cook’s iconic ship departs Auckland following a four-day visit to the city during the Tuia 250 voyage.
The voyage which saw the vessel visit a dozen sites of importance to Pacific voyaging was acknowledgement of 1000 years of Aotearoa/New Zealand’s voyaging and navigation tradition, dual heritage and commemoration of the events that occurred during onshore encounters between Māori and Pākehā when they first met in 1769……… both good and bad.
