BREEZE (1981) - a part of the collection at the New Zealand National Maritime Museum in Auckland, BREEZE is a barquentine built using traditional methods at Tiki Landing on the Coromandel Peninsula by the late Ralph Sewell.
AOTEAROA ONE - twin-hulled waka hourua (ocean-going or bluewater) voyaging canoe based in Auckland (Tamaki Makaurau) was participating in the Tall Ships class of the 169th Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta. She was designed by the late Sir Tom Davis, a renowned ocean navigator and former premier of the Cook Islands.
SPIRIT OF NEW ZEALAND (1986/184grt) a barquentine operated by the Auckland-based Spirit of Adventure Trust competing in the 169th Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta with North Head in the background at the entrance to the city's Waitemata Harbour. The Spirit of Adventure Trust was named the world's best Sail Training Organisation of 2008 at a function in Canada.
