SeapixOnline- Workboats - 29 of 33 SIERRA (1917) at right, was built as a harbour ferry and general workboat. She was also part of the Subritzky fleet in later years. She was steamed around the coast to Auckland in the 1950's and used as a ferry for the workmen during the construction of the Auckland Harbour Bridge in the late 1950's.
SHAMROCK (1915) - Built for Faulkner Ferries of Tauranga. Today she is a well known charter boat on the Kaipara Harbour, north of Auckland, NZ.
They are seen here making for the start line of the 168th Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta tug race.
In March 2017 SHAMROCK hit rocks entering Tutukaka Harbour in Northland.
