SeapixOnline- Waitemata Wonders - 21 of 266 AMAKURA II - designed and built in 1936 by Colin Wild. She is seen here participating in the parade of classic yachts and motor launches, part of the 2026 Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta. Moments later, she was involved in an incident where she veered to port and in doing so, forced the gaff-rigger ARIKI (A3) to take evasive action which ended with ARIKI stuck under the bow of the 1935 steam tug WILLIAM C.
