SeapixOnline- Miscellaneous Vessels - 33 of 133 GOLDEN ROSE, launched in 1964 and still doing what she does best, providing a lifeline carrying freight, diesel and LPG to the residents of Rakino and Great Barrier Islands.
She is home-ported in Tryphena on Great Barrier Island and is to be sand blasted and repainted in the next few months.
The sturdy little workhorse complies with all provisions of MOSS (Maritime Operator Safety System) and is licensed to carry up to 120x45kg LPG cylinders.
She is powered by a 12V71 Detroit Diesel engine.
