SeapixOnlineDisplaying 8713 of 11052 YOUNG ENDEAVOUR - a Australian brigantine-rigged tall ship built in 1986/7 by Brooke Marine of Lowestoft, England as a gift from the UK to Australia on the occasion of that country's bicentenary in 1988. She is seen here departing Melbourne following the 2013 International Tall Ships Festival en-route to Hobart. Operated by the RAN (Royal Australian Navy) she is primarily used for sail training for Australian youth. The vessel measures 44m with a displacement of 239 tonnes and sails at around 10 knots under power and 14 knots under sail.
