SeapixOnline- Charterboats - 1 of 1 SIERRA (1917) heads TAHUA and FELICITARE around the first mark of the 168th Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta tug race.
SIERRA was built as a harbour ferry and general workboat. She was also part of the Subritzky fleet in later years. She was steamed around the coast to Auckland in the 1950’s and used as a ferry for the workmen during the construction of the Auckland Harbour Bridge in the late 1950's.
TAHUA (1938): Built for the Whakatane Harbour Board. Has been used as a fishing and charter boat. She underwent a massive refit some years ago changing her appearance somewhat.
FELICITARE (1990): A modern traditionally built wooden workboat. Built in Whangarei she is now used as a charter boat servicing the Hauraki Gulf.
