SeapixOnline- Tugs and towboats - 1 of 1 KAI KUTAI (1989) was built in Nelson, NZ. She is 12.8 metres long and is operated by Total Marine Services Ltd of Auckland. She is seen here rounding the first mark during the 168th Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta tug race. Coming up astern of her is SIERRA.
SIERRA (1917) was built as a harbour ferry and general workboat. She was also part of the Subritzky fleet in later years. She was steamed around the coast to Auckland in the 1950�s and used as a ferry for the workmen during the construction of the Auckland Harbour Bridge in the late 1950's.
