Built in 1930 for Mr. Algar owner of the Packard Car Company, she was originally named CHALENA after she was bought by E.F. McCann, the son-in-law of FW Woolworth.
She was requisitioned for WWII gunboat service and sailed under the name USS BEAUMONT. Following a rebuild for Sir John Paul Getty II, she was given the name TALITHA-G, in honour of Getty's wife.
She is owned today by the Getty family.
