SeapixOnline- Miscellaneous Vessels - 1 of 1 NAUTILUS (1913) - one of Auckland's National Maritime Museum's fleet of heritage craft, passes the departing bulk carrier SWIFTNES.
During her life NAUTILUS has been used as a private family cruiser, a charter boat, a ferry and travelled the globe, especiially noteworthy being her time spent as one of two motorboats carried by the WWI hospital ship MARAMA during hostilities in the Mediterranean from 1915.
She was donated to the museum in 2011 and over the past few years has undergone total restoration by a team of passionate staff and volunteers. NAUTILUS runs public sailings on Auckland's Waitemata Harbour.
