TED ASHBY - a replica NZ flat-bottomed scow, based at the NZ National Maritime Museum on Hobson Wharf here in Auckland. The flat-bottomed scows carried timber and other bulk cargoes from the isolated tidal inlets of northern New Zealand to the timber mills of the early NZ cities. Passing astern of her is the Netherlands-built superyacht SERENITY J arriving in Auckland from Papua New Guinea. SERENTIY J was completed in 2014. 25 November 2015.
